13 Jan Rotator Cuff Repair
According to some studies, more than one in five adults has been found to have a rotator cuff tear. This common shoulder injury can occur as a result of trauma, such as a fall, or as a result of general “wear and tear” (degenerative rotator cuff tears). We recently sat down with Todd Wurth, M.D. of The Bone and Joint Institute of Tennessee to learn more about rotator cuff injuries and the surgical treatment of this problem. Dr. Wurth is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in treatment of the shoulder, elbow, hand, and wrist and is a fellow in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
