Carleigh Short is a certified physician assistant to Michael McNamara, M.D., at Bone and Joint Institute of Tennessee. A native of Hendersonville, Short studied for both her Bachelor of Science and Master’s degrees at Lipscomb University. She completed her undergraduate studies with a degree in biology while minoring in both chemistry and psychology before going on to finish her Master’s of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS). Now a member of both the Tennessee Academy of Physician Assistants (TAPA) and American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA), Short also played Division I basketball at Lipscomb. In addition to now occasionally playing basketball, she enjoys reading and partaking in outdoor activities away from the clinic.
