Keith Purino, PA-C

Keith Purino is a certified physician assistant to Cory Calendine, M.D., at the Bone and Joint Institute of Tennessee. Originally from Elmira, N.Y., Purino completed his bachelor’s degree at Stony Brook University. He continued his education receiving his master’s degree in sports medicine (ATC) from Temple University and his master’s degree in physician assistant studies from Trevecca Nazarene University. He received his certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) in the state of Tennessee with board certification. He is also a certified athletic trainer (retired status). Purino is certified in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS). He is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and the Tennessee Academy of Physician Assistants (TAPA). Purino and his wife of 18 years, who is also a physician assistant, have two children together. In his free time, Purino enjoys mountain biking, cycling and spending time with his family. He is active with his church and volunteering in the community. He has completed two mission trips to the Dominican Republic.

Supervising Physician Cory Calendine, M.D. is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in hip and knee replacement and preservation.
