Biography

Dave Kempfert serves as the director of Rehabilitation Services for the Bone and Joint Institute of Tennessee. He is a former collegiate All-American and NFL offensive lineman with over 10 years as a clinical director and 16 years of experience specializing in outpatient orthopaedics and sports medicine physical therapy. Dave has provided rehabilitation services to elite-level athletes (NFL, MLB, NBA), collegiate and high school athletes, post-operative total joint replacement patients, post-operative spine patients, and those just wanting to live pain-free again. He is trained in Maitland, Mulligan and McKenzie techniques, is certified in Blood Flow Restriction Training, is certified in Integrative Dry Needling, and is a certified clinical instructor for physical therapy students. Dave has a passion for helping his patients return to their highest level of function. He has been a coach for various youth sports and, in his spare time, enjoys hiking in the great outdoors and spending time with his wife of 19 years and their two children.
