FRANKLIN, Tenn. — The Bone and Joint Institute of Tennessee recently announced plans for an after-hours injury clinic to treat walk-in patients during evening and weekend hours. The Franklin medical practice, which is an affiliate of Williamson Medical Center, opened its doors earlier this year and includes 13 nationally recognized orthopaedic surgeons.
“Injuries don’t always happen between 8 and 5, so we wanted the community to have access to a facility dedicated to orthopaedic care, after hours,” said Darren Harris, CEO of the Bone and Joint Institute of Tennessee. “Patients who experience bone or joint injuries are now able to receive state-of-the-art care by orthopaedic trained, mid-level providers without a trip to the emergency department.”
The walk-in clinic will open July 16 and will treat a variety of conditions including back injuries, cartilage tears, dislocations, pain and injury to the ankle, elbow, foot, hand, hip, knee or shoulder, sprains and strains, and simple breaks and fracture.
Clinic hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 8 a.m. to noon Saturdays. The Institute is temporarily located at 4323 Carothers Parkway, Suite 201 in Williamson Tower, as construction continues on a state-of-the-art facility on the Williamson Medical Center campus.
