The Bone and Joint Institute of Tennessee’s orthopaedic surgeons performed their first outpatient procedures this week at the Bone and Joint Institute of Tennessee Surgery Center.
Located at 3000 Edward Curd Lane, Suite 100, in Franklin, TN, the outpatient surgery center is a joint venture between Williamson Medical Center and Bone and Joint Institute physicians. The facility was designed to accommodate minor procedures to complex cases, focusing on total joint replacement, spine disorders, sports medicine, and general orthopaedics.
“We are looking forward to providing high quality care, as a cost-effective option for cases that do not require a hospital stay,” said President of the Board Paul Thomas, M.D. Prior to the first case, Thomas led the team in prayer and reflection. He noted: “Our entire facility and team are built for the performance of spine, shoulder and knee procedures; and caring for patients and their families will always be our highest priority.”
The center includes six operating rooms and 25 pre-operative/post-operative beds. Physical therapy and medical imaging are in the same building, as is the physician practice: Bone and Joint Institute of Tennessee, resulting in a comprehensive musculoskeletal campus that improves convenience and access for patients and their families.
