Bone and Joint Institute Named Official Sports Medicine Provider of Nashville Spartans

Bone and Joint Institute of Tennessee has been named the official sports medicine provider for the Nashville Spartans, a junior hockey organization based in Nolensville, Tenn.

“We are honored to be named the official sports medicine provider for an organization like the Nashville Spartans that specializes in the development of young athletes,” said Darren Harris, CEO of Bone and Joint Institute of Tennessee. “We are excited to continue to utilize our expertise in sports medicine and are looking forward to the start of a successful partnership.” A member of the United States Premier Hockey League (USPHL), the Nashville Spartans is a junior hockey club for 16-20-year-old NCAA prospect players. The club aims to develop and hone advanced ice hockey skills in their athletes in preparation of collegiate play. Athletes from across the country travel to Nolensville to play for the Spartans.

Over 5,000 USPHL players have advanced to college hockey, and more than 200 USPHL alumni have skated in the world’s top professional hockey leagues. The USPHL has been recognized globally as a first-class vehicle for player development and is one of the best paths to college hockey for young players. 

As the sole sports medicine provider for the organization, Bone and Joint Institute will provide orthopaedic and sports injury support, physical therapy, concussion baseline screening and concussion rehabilitation for the athletes.
